The National Wildfire Coordination Group’s (NWCG) Training Distance Learning Program is now offering the following courses online:
• I-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System
• S-130 Firefighter Training
• S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior
• S-290 Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior
All online courses require the use of a course administrator. A course administrator MUST be secured before attempting any course work. The course administrator is to answer questions you may have about the course work and not about the technical aspects of the online course. The Michigan Prescribed Fire Council (MPFC) can act as a course administrator upon receiving your registration.
Note: If you have slow or unreliable internet connectivity, it is recommended that you request the CD version of these courses when submitting your Registration form. The Reference Material that is needed for each course is available for download also or can be requested from MPFC as part of registration. You must still be able to print and/or save your test results.
Warning: The results of your course are NOT saved by the NWCG training site. If your course has a test component, be sure that you have a functioning printer/and or save the results to your computer. If you fail to print or save your results, there is no way to retrieve your results and you will have to retake the test.
