The Mission of the Michigan Prescribed Fire Council is to protect, conserve, and expand the safe use of prescribed fire on the Michigan landscape.The Michigan Prescribed Fire Council was formed to bring together practitioners, guides, and students of prescribed fire to provide a network through which information could be disseminated, partnerships could form and the use of prescribed fire would be protected. This site holds much information, and questions are always welcomed if you can't find what you need here.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, is offering two courses this winter: 1) Basic Wildland Firefighter Training and 2) Prescribed Fire for Managers. Both courses are being offered at Ball State University. Click on the link for more information or contact David LeBlanc (dleblanc@bsu.edu).
